Areas of application for our spinneret filters, spinnerets and spinneret seals
Spinneret filters are used together with spinnerets and spinneret seals in three main manufacturing processes for synthetic fibers. The polymers obtained after polymerization, polyaddition or polycondensation are dissolved or heated to form a malleable, viscous mass. This in turn is pressed through a spinneret to produce fibers, known as filaments. With the help of chemicals, a stream of hot air or cooling, the mass can be processed in such a way that the fibers solidify again after they emerge. The various processes are used to obtain synthetic fibers – for example for textiles. Polyamide yarn, for example, is used for weaving carpets.

Wire mesh inserts with all the important specifications for the company are joined together to increase the filter surface – a large pore volume can also be achieved in this way. Up to 15 or even 25 filter inserts can be combined in this way and sealed with flat gaskets to support the optimum production process.
These materials are possible
As a rule, austenitic stainless steels of the materials 1.4301 and 1.4401 are used. They offer good corrosion resistance and therefore prove to be durable and really useful companions for the company. What is the difference between the two materials? The austenitic stainless steel of material 1.4401 contains a two percent addition of molybdenum, which further improves its corrosion resistance. This is particularly true when chlorides are used. However, the material 1.4301 is the most versatile and can withstand a number of physical stresses.
