Plastics are plasticized under temperature in the extruder and pressed into shape through a die. Extruder screens of various types are used to ensure that consistently good results can be achieved when pressing the respective type of plastic through the extruder and that the end products do not contain any impurities. They are installed in screen changers so that production is not interrupted and there is no loss of quality when the screen is changed. The quality requirement depends on the product and requires specifically tailored extruder screens with different filter finenesses. The screen structure can be single or multi-layered, it can be hot spot welded or bordered, or designed as a flat screen in a round, rectangular or oval shape, or as a cylinder. The sieves retain impurities and impurities and also ensure a homogeneous melt. This is the only way to ensure a consistently high level of melt and product purity.
Extrusion screens must be able to withstand these conditions
